I wasn't feeling very well so I went in to see the doc and just to make sure everything was ok she ordered an ultrasound. I thought these pics were pretty cute. Her foot is definitely up above her head and we finally got a side profile picture. At our 20 week ultrasound she was being VERY stubborn (she doesn't get that from her mom - ;) ) and would not turn so we could see her cute little face.

It's a Girl!
A few weeks ago Dave and I got our 20 week ultrasound and found out we're having a girl. We're super excited and can't wait to meet her. We're thinking either Isabelle or Isabella for a name but definitely have not settled on anything yet. Here are the ultrasound video's of our little munchkin.

Monopolizing Emotions
So I've constantly read about the emotional ups and downs of pregnancy but dismissed them with the thought that I would be one of the lucky ones who didn't have to cope with pregnancy craziness. Man, I was wrong! I just didn't realize that the pregnancy craziness hadn't quite set in yet. The past few days I have been a mess. :) I cry for no apparent reason, make a huge deal out of nothing, and feel like some crazy lady has taken over my mind. Poor Dave, he's such a good guy and works really hard to be sympathetic but I swear (and this could just be due to the crazy emotions) I see him thinking, "who are you and what have you done with my wife". He really doesn't do or say anything that should upset me but I still find myself getting mad over nothing. (and then crying hysterically when he tries to talk to me about what is bothering me)
So, if I freak out on you or start crying for no good reason please just calmly tell me that you'll talk with me again once the crazy pregnant lady is in check.
On a side note, the constant nausea is in check, yay! I am in between regular clothes and maternity clothes but received a belly band as a gift from my mother in law, she's such a sweet heart. So I wear my pants unbuttoned with an elastic keeping them up and the belly band does wonders to hide it, it's great.

Welcome To Our Blog
We've thought about starting a blog for some time but haven't felt that our life warrants the interest of others. :) Now that we're expecting we feel a little more pressure to let everyone know how things are going and also to document our lives.
Currently we are expecting our first baby in late January early February. We're super excited and can't wait to meet our little munchkin but realize that is a ways away. During the pregnancy I have been exhausted and super nauseous pretty much all day every day. But, finally the exhaustion and nausea is letting up which is such a blessing. I'm not showing yet (obviously) but have gained a few pounds and am finding my jeans fitting pretty snug, ugh. :) But, am grateful that everything is going well. We had our first doctors appointment about a week ago and they did an ultrasound to date the pregnancy. We heard the babies heart beat and finally felt like the whole thing is really real. Anyways we're super excited and we'll keep you updated on any new developments.
